Here are some highlights from campaigns across the country:<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_13_0_ym1_1_1394112608745_7722\">The Maine Independent Green Party is running\u00a0<a id=\"yui_3_13_0_ym1_1_1394112608745_7754\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mainegreens.org\/candidates_2014\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">over a dozen candidates for the State House and Senate<\/a>\u00a0this year.<\/p>\n<p>Last weekend, the Green Party of Pennsylvania\u00a0<a id=\"yui_3_13_0_ym1_1_1394112608745_7791\" href=\"http:\/\/glover-gpofpa.nationbuilder.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">nominated Paul Glover for Governor.<\/a>\u00a0Paul helped organize local Green Parties in California and New York in the 1980s,\u00a0and continues his work through his books\u00a0and by founding\u00a0organizations devoted to social and economic justice.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the candidates for\u00a0<a id=\"yui_3_13_0_ym1_1_1394112608745_7780\" href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/local\/political\/la-me-pc-sos-debate-20140303,0,5858049.story#axzz2v6dBaAqc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">California Secretary of State participated in a forum<\/a>\u00a0in Los Angeles.\u00a0The Green Party&#8217;s David Curtis\u00a0was featured prominently in coverage by the\u00a0<i id=\"yui_3_13_0_ym1_1_1394112608745_7781\">Los Angeles Times<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>On April 1st, Green Party members in the District of Columbia will go to the polls to vote in the district&#8217;s primary election.\u00a0<a id=\"yui_3_13_0_ym1_1_1394112608745_7752\" href=\"http:\/\/eugenepuryear.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The party has endorsed socialist and Statehood Green Party member Eugene Puryear for City Council.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/salsa.wiredforchange.com\/o\/175\/signup_page\/join-us\" target=\"_blank\">Sign up to receive e-mail alerts<\/a> from the Green Party of the United States.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Excerpts from today&#8217;s GPUS news update: Have you heard the latest from Green candidates for state office this year?
